Melanie & Meer have joyfully returned to the Maldives, bringing along their beautiful Duniya. Join them at Divepoint Guraidhoo, where they await to reveal to you a side of the Maldives you might not yet know – the most authentic experience, found only on the local islands where time stands still and life remains serene.
Guraidhoo combines Maldivian hospitality, local cuisine and the feeling that time has stood still here, creating a truly authentic travel experience away from the typical resort tourism. Our slogan “Dive with friends” promises outstanding service by an international team, first-class equipment and diving according to the principle of safety first (including CO2 reducer, Nitrox for free, compressor from L&W).
At South Male Atoll we have the big advantage to have a lot of highlighted dive spots close to our center. To all diving spots we drive not longer than approx. 45 min. For beginners as well as for the “very experienced once” – we have the possibility to dive at Thilas, or Giris where we are able to do quite comfortably dives up to a max depth of 18-m and explore fields of anemones, as far as the eye reaches.
Or to dive as well to the most spectacular places of the atoll like Guraidhoo Corner, Cocoa Corner and Kandooma Thila. Here you find a cleaning station for sharks, eagle rays, Napoleons and huge turtles on the reef top too. At the West outside reefs you are accompanied by a big school of bat fishes during the whole dive. Directly in front of the island Guraidhoo is the Emmadi Giri, also called Manta Point. Manta rays can be seen there from May to October.
Marcus and Jerry have had the idea in their heads for a long time – a place where divers can come together, start their days and spend the evenings reviewing the dives they have experienced together.
Now this dream is finally coming true on the local island of Guraidhoo!
The Divepoint Residence is currently under construction and is expected to officially open in October 2025.
Our team consists of local dive guides who live and dive by our slogan “Dive with Friends”. Here you can expect a relaxed and familiar atmosphere with top service as well as relaxing dives, guided by our motivated and competent team. Our dive staff are 100% passionate about diving!
On the local island of Guraidhoo, the Maldives show a different side. You live with the locals on the island and get to know their culture and customs. On Guraidhoo there are now the most diverse categories of accommodation. From the very budget-friendly rented room to the normal hotel room, everything is possible.
‼️‼️URGENT UPDATE🦈
The Maldives has announced it will allow gulper shark fishing
from November 2025.
Gulper sharks are endangered, slow to recover and vital to ocean health. Their loss could destabilise marine ecosystems crucia to Maldivian fisheries and food security. The Maldives is one of only seventeen shark sanctuaries in the world and will lose it internationally recognised status, gained when all shark fishing was banned in 2010 and trade in 2011.
