1. Guraidhoo – The Heart of Tradition
The journey begins on the island of Guraidhoo in the South Malé Atoll. This island is known for its close-knit community and deeply rooted traditions. Here, guests spend 8 nights in local guesthouses, providing an authentic glimpse into island life.
Guraidhoo is particularly renowned for its traditional crafts. Visitors can attend workshops and try their hand at creating typical Maldivian handicrafts such as weaving and carving. Another cultural experience is attending a Boduberu performance, a traditional form of music and dance that is deeply embedded in Maldivian culture.
The island also offers numerous opportunities for water sports activities such as snorkeling and diving, allowing you to explore the vibrant underwater world of the Maldives. The surrounding waters are home to stunning coral reefs teeming with marine life. Divers can explore vibrant coral gardens, swim alongside schools of colorful fish, and encounter species such as reef sharks, turtles, and rays.
