Learning to dive at Divepoint Maldives can be a fantastic experience, given the country’s stunning coral reefs and diverse marine life. Become an open water diver, advanced, underwater photographer specialist, a mermaid or a professional with a Dive Master training or a Scuba Diving Instructor. Our training programs are modular, digital certification cards, learning material, logbook & so much more.
In the SSI Basic Diver program, you will learn the skills and knowledge you need to try diving up to 12 meters deep with an SSI Professional.

Continue the Open Water Diver or Scuba Diver course to become a certified diver
The Scuba Diver course is the first half of the Open Water Diver course. It overlooks some of the more challenging skills and is a good choice for people who have limited time, or for young children.
Covers fundamental skills such as equipment use, underwater communication, and safety procedures. Enables divers to dive independently with a buddy to a specified depth up to 18 meters or 60 feet.
Builds on the skills learned in the Open Water Diver Course. Introduces more specialized diving activities, such as deep diving, night diving, underwater navigation, and others.
Increase your bottom times and safety margins, plus shorten your surface intervals – so you can spend more time diving and less time waiting!
Focuses on developing the skills and knowledge needed to prevent and manage diving emergencies.
Learn to communicate clearly, lead dive briefings, and guide others with confidence. Build professional skills in navigation, search & recovery, and assisting instructors—so you’re ready to take charge of every dive.
With at least 40 logged dives, specialties in Deep Diving, Navigation, and Night Diving (or equivalent experience), plus Stress & Rescue, you’re ready to start.
