The local island of Guraidhoo, nestled in the South Male Atoll of the Maldives, is characterized not only by its beaches, but also by the authentic culture of its inhabitants. With a population that lives mainly from fishing and handicrafts, Guraidhoo offers visitors a unique insight into traditional Maldivian island life.
Both destinations have their unique charm and appeal, catering to different preferences and travel styles.
The underwater world off both islands is a true paradise for divers. With crystal clear waters and a rich variety of marine life, the region offers an impressive backdrop for diving adventures. The coral reefs that adorn the waters around are home to a colorful array of fish species, including stunning tropical fish and majestic sea turtles. During manta season from May to October in the South Male Atoll, you can observe the gentle giants on some cleaning stations. One cleaning station is located directly at the harbor entrance of Guraidhoo.
