This beginner-friendly course covers all the essential skills you need to dive safely and confidently. You’ll learn how to use your equipment, communicate underwater, and handle common safety procedures. Upon successful completion, you’ll be certified to dive with a buddy to a depth of up to 18 meters.

The course is conducted by our experienced team at DivePoint Guraidhoo in the beautiful Maldives.
To help you apply your new skills and gain confidence, the package includes 4 additional guided fun dives after the course — the perfect way to explore the vibrant local reefs while building real-world diving experience.

Be prepared for the course

Medical statement of fitness for divingFor the course we highly recommend a medical statement of fitness for diving. If there is even the slightest doubt, we cannot let you into the water. If you have pre-existing conditions and it can lead to complications from diving, this diving fitness certificate is mandatory. This includes heart diseases (e.g. heart disease or high blood pressure), respiratory diseases and injuries (e.g. asthma, pneumothorax and lung diseases), conditions that can lead to unconsciousness (e.g. epilepsy and diabetes). Otherwise you will sign a self-disclosure on spot.
Diving InsurancePlease also check with your travel insurance if they cover diving accidents with decompression treatments. If so, please bring proof of coverage with you. Otherwise you can book easily an insurance on spot (38 USD for 1 week). Diving insurance is mandatory.
