Several time in a row awarded as Best Dive Center Resort, our well organized and equipped SSI Diamond diving center is located in Raa Atoll, Adaaran Prestige Meedhupparu resort. Raa Atoll is one of the northernmost resort atolls in the Maldives along with Lhavyiani Atoll. The approached dive spots are accordingly untouched. Individual boat dives are offered daily. Double tank as well as one tank trips are possible daily. Very beautiful soft corals, huge schools of fish and manta rays can be seen here all year round.
Raa Atoll is one of the northernmost resort atolls of the Maldives. Here we offer daily boat dives, with one tank or two tank possibilities. The pristine reefs of Raa Atoll are still in a great condition. We were the only diving island in this atoll for many years and now there are still very few. Meaning you get to enjoy these dive sites for yourselves and just with your close diving buddies. Very nice soft corals, huge schools of fish and manta rays can be seen here all year round.
We have the advantage of being able to drive through our island location in the middle of the atoll to the east and west side of the reef, so we can watch manta rays almost all year round. Let yourself be inspired by this pristine underwater world.
Our international dive team live and dive by our slogan “Dive with Friends”. Here you can expect a relaxed and familiar atmosphere with top service as well as relaxing dives, guided by our motivated and competent team. Our dive staff are 100% passionate about diving!
The resort offers guests a welcoming lobby with reception, sitting areas, free Wi-Fi in all public areas such as the lobby, restaurants, all bars and the diving center. A small shopping area with souvenir and jewellery shops a hairdresser and doctor service, as well as a large swimming pool with sun terrace and pool bar. In addition to the two main restaurants, there is an à la carte restaurant and grill bar. There is an air-conditioned gym, as well as Wellness Chavana Spa and a traditional Chinese therapy center.
"My name is Andy, and I’m the base manager here on the stunning island of Meedhupparu—a paradise that feels as if it was carved from a dream.
Born in landlocked Stuttgart, Germany, I first discovered diving during a trip to the Maldives at age 20. That first plunge into the turquoise depths lit a fire in me that never went out.
Life delayed my dream until years later, when I finally became a diver during a family holiday in Egypt. Since then, diving has become my lifeblood—more than 9,000 dives later, my passion for the ocean (and especially for sharks!) only grows stronger.
Since 2012, I’ve had the privilege of calling the Maldives home, and it was Meedhupparu where my heart truly settled. Here, I share the magic of the underwater world with divers from around the globe. For me, every dive isn’t just a descent—it’s a new adventure, and Meedhupparu is the perfect stage for those stories to unfold." ... See MoreSee Less

In recent weeks, we’ve been fortunate to see whale sharks more frequently than usual. It’s a wonderful reminder of the beauty and balance of our oceans — and we hope these encounters continue.
Do you know for example that these ocean giants can live 70–100 years, slowly roaming tropical waters around the world. In the Maldives, they are often found gliding peacefully near the surface, making this one of the best places on earth to encounter them year-round.
Here DivePoint Meedhupparu it is possible to spot them with a bit of luck!
