Very well-equipped dive center under German-speaking management by Marcus Hauck & Team. His own enthusiasm for diving and the fascinating underwater world of the Maldives made him stay in the Maldives in the 1980s. The base in the South Male Atoll is located on the western outer reef with direct access to the house reef.
Family friendly resort, Divepoint Rannalhi is also the best place to learn diving during your vacation . Beautiful & accessible lagoon for all the training & open water dives !
South Male Atoll offers many diving highlights in the immediate area. All of our dive spots are within 45 minutes navigation time. There are daily morning and afternoon boat trips to the most beautiful dive sites. For beginners as well as for the “very experienced ones” – we have the possibility to dive at Thilas, where we are able to do easy dives up to a max. depth of 18m and explore fields of anemones, as far as the eye can see. Or let yourself drift with the current through the numerous channels around Rannalhi to encounter surprises like sharks, turtles, dolphins, eagle rays, different stingrays and in summer we have good chances to see manta rays.
The house reef with a maximum depth of about 22 meters is very spacious, perfect for unguided house reef dives as well as guided early morning and night diving.
“Now we know why we learned to dive – it is simply fantastic here”.
Our international dive team live and dive by our slogan “Dive with Friends”. Here you can expect a relaxed and familiar atmosphere with top service as well as relaxing dives, guided by our motivated and competent team. Our dive staff are 100% passionate about diving!
Adaaran Club Rannalhi sits exclusively at the tip of the South Male atoll within the exotic collection of islands known as the Maldives. Its unique location offers access to pristine beaches, excellent scuba diving opportunities and a relaxed environment with easy access to the capital city of Male. Bask in the golden sun and frolic on the soft sands as you experience friendly Maldivian hospitality and explore the rich tropical wonders of a vibrant island nation during your stay at our inviting Maldives hotel.
The harlequin filefish (Oxymonacanthus longirostris) is a small, beautifully patterned reef fish. It’s quite an uncommon encounter for us, so we're always super excited to have spotted one 🤩
This shy species lives among Acropora corals in shallow waters, often staying within a very small home range tied to a particular coral colony. Very often they are seen with a buddy and they blend into their surroundings just perfectly. It feeds almost exclusively on live coral polyps, using its long snout to pick them off branch by branch🐠

This is a sea squirt, also called a tunicate, from the genus Clavelina—often known as “bluebells” underwater.
They may look simple, but they’re pretty fascinating:
Their clear, tube-like body has two openings (siphons) that filter seawater for food
The bright blue “rings” you see are around these siphons.
They often grow in small colonies on reefs and rocks
The crazy part about these tiny beauties? As larvae, they can swim and even have a brain. Once they settle down, they absorb it and live the rest of their life attached in one spot.
Have you seen one already when diving with us?
