This very well-organized dive center is under the professional management of Marcus Hauck and his team. The shop, training rooms and office are located on the south-west jetty with direct access to the diving dhonis (boats).
The diversified dive spots of North Male Atoll promise absolutely unforgettable diving. The legendary dive sites such as Aquarium, Colosseum, Reef Manta Point and many more are located close to our island. Night dives are available on request.
The island is located at the eastern side of the North Male Atoll, directly on a channel at the outside reef. The perfect position of this island offers a variety of diving spots which are accessible in a short time with our dhoni.
Dive, like in your dreams, with all kinds of underwater creatures, such as white tip reef sharks, grey reef sharks, turtles, nurse sharks, zebra sharks, mobulas, napoleons, eagle- and stingrays, big schools of fishes and many different kind of groupers.
From May to December you can even find Mantas around the diving spots.

Stoutly bull sharks get their name from their short, blunt snout, stocky appearance and bullish nature. These compact powerhouses reach an average length of three-and-a-half metres and can weigh up to a whopping 250 kg. As one of the most dangerous shark species of the sea, these aggressive predators will often head-butt their prey before attacking.
Unfortunately, bull sharks face many threats due to human activities and are currently listed as ‘Vulnerable’.

SHARK OR RAY ? 🦈🎸💙
The guitar shark is actually not a shark at all but a ray from the Rhinidae family. The more common name for them is ‘bowmouth guitarfish’.
They are rare species that reside in the tropical waters of the Maldives & in the whole Indo-Pacific. The reason this ray has been nicknamed ‘guitar shark’ is the shark looking like a dorsal and tail fin.
Shovelnose guitarfish have the ability to pump water over their gills, so they are able to remain perfectly motionless. The guitarfishes are a group of skates (as opposed to stingrays). They do not have barbs or “stingers” like some other rays, and they are totally harmless to people.
Guitar shark 🦈can get large, up to around 3m, and weigh over 100kg.
Classified by IUCN as critically endangered with the population decreased by over 80% over the last three generations, they are mostly hunted for their meat and fins. The high price for their fins drives the demand for more and more dead guitar sharks. Quite a lot of them are also kept in captivity on display in aquariums. Their habitat is also being damaged, mainly by bottom trawling fishing.

Had a wonderful time completing my open water dives with Denise in Maldives. She was a very good diving instructor - bringing her breadth of knowledge and experience to dives.
Je rentre d’une semaine fantastique aux Maldives… je suis passée au centre de plongée en début de semaine juste pour faire une petite plongée… je n’en avais pas fait depuis longtemps et j’avais un peu la trouille. Résultat des courses j’ai fait mon Open Water avec Denise Guerini et nous nous sommes régalées à plonger toute la semaine . Elle est super pro , parle très bien le français et je me suis sentie en totale sécurité : un pur bonheur de plonger ensemble. Quelle belle rencontre 🤩 ! J’espère que nous aurons un jour l’occasion de nous retrouver pour encore admirer ces merveilleux fonds marins. Plein de bisous à toi Denise Guerini et à toute l’équipe qui t’entoure .
