💡 The shovelnose guitarfish is part of an ancient lineage, virtually unchanged over millions of years.

With around 15 species spread across the globe, these remarkable creatures share common traits: large, flat heads, small ‘wings,’ and elongated tails.

Ranging from under one meter to an impressive three meters in length, guitarfish are also known as shovelnose sharks or shovelnose rays in different regions.
